Gentle Relief for Disc Pain & Nerve Compression

Spinal Traction Therapy

Relieve spinal pressure, restore movement, and reduce pain.
Spinal traction is a safe, non-invasive therapy used to reduce pressure on the spine, relieve nerve irritation, and manage conditions such as disc bulges, sciatica, and lower back pain. At My Rehab Co, we use the Chattanooga Triton Traction Table, a state-of-the-art system that allows precise, individualised treatment.

Traction therapy works by applying a gentle, controlled stretching force along the spine. This decompression helps the soft centre of the spinal disc (the nucleus pulposus) retract toward its natural position. As a result, it relieves compression on nearby nerves and reduces pain radiating into the legs or arms.

We commonly use traction for conditions such as disc bulges, herniated discs, protrusions, and degenerative disc disease. The Chattanooga Triton system can also be adjusted for both lumbar (lower back) and cervical (neck) traction, allowing us to target specific regions effectively.

This therapy offers a gentle and safe approach to spinal decompression. Each treatment is delivered using a measured, evidence-based protocol, tailored to your comfort and clinical needs.

For optimal results, we often combine traction with Low-Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) or individualised rehabilitation exercises. Together, these methods enhance recovery, support spinal healing, and form an essential part of a long-term management plan.
